6th August 2021 was a critical date for African corporate and business world. On this date, the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ award were presented to leading contributors to African society and business. The event was FIN-Forbes Roundtable conference which comprised of several speakers discussing about the leadership and philanthropic scenario across Africa.
Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, a noted business tycoon in Zambia, was not only an honorary speaker at the conference, but was also bestowed with one of the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards. The roundtable conference is a great platform for leading personalities across politics, innovation, business, economy and leadership in Africa to showcase their ideas, achievements as well as thought process on improvement and development of the continent. Usually, the event takes place at New York during the UNGA (United Nations General Assembly) conferences. However, the ongoing coronavirus pandemic restricted the event to online platform, taking place via YouTube medium.

According to analysts, this is among the most prestigious and biggest events for year 2021 as it will not only help in highlighting the challenges faced by the African people at present, but will also help in identification of solutions as well as celebration of successful business personalities across African nations.
Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani was bestowed with the ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ 2021 award by FIN-Forbes for his significant business ventures, entrepreneurial successes as well as philanthropic and charitable contributions towards the development and growth of the Zambian nation.
