The Zambian media and corporate recently saw the unfurrowing of the widespread unethical practices occurring across the Zambian nation. A claim made by Dr. Rajan Mahtani exposed the widespread corruption which is occurring not only in Zambia but also brought about by international parties. At the same time, the losses and challenges are only faced by locals, citizens as well as those businessmen who reject unethical and corrupt practices to get ahead. For more than three decades, Dr. Rajan Mahtani has faced several challenges and calamities in ensuring the success and growth of his companies as well as the Zambian nation.
Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani recently approach the Omnia Strategy to put forward a case against Atlas Mara and its ex-founded Bob Diamond. Atlas Mara was established in Zambia with the objective of becoming a Banking giant across Africa. To achieve this goal, Bob Diamond engaged in several takeovers and acquisitions for enhancing the market hold of the banking institution. The company Atlas Mara was established in the year 2013 and since then, it took over several banking and financial institutions across Zambia and Africa to expand its operational reach and market control. One of these companies taken over by Atlas Mara was Finance Bank Zambia, a banking and financial institution owned by Dr. Rajan Mahtani. This takeover took place in the year 2015 after a share sale & purchase agreement.
In the case established by Dr. Rajan Mahtani, it has been claim that he is yet to receive the share sales amount from the agreement. In a similar manner, several other investors have sued Bob Diamond over non-payment of dues.
As of now, Dr. Mahtani and Omnia Strategy are preparing their case to be brought to the London High Court.
