When it comes to authentic, respected and transparent businessmen in Zambia, Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani’s name is almost on the top. In his more than three decades of experience, Dr. Mahtani established numerous successful businesses purely with his transparent and ethical business practices. As a result, Dr. Mahtani and his companies are often targeted by scrupulous individuals and groups with profit motive or defaming the businessman.
A similar social media post was shared against Dr. Rajan Mahtani. This Facebook post was shared by Miriam Mwanawasa, daughter of the late former President of Zambia. Dr. Rajan Mahtani had maintained a long and transparent friendship with Levy Mwanawasa which is known to everyone. As such, the controversial Facebook post in which Miriam Mwanawasa claimed that Dr. Mahtani wanted to inherit the farmland at Masaiti district, was extremely suspicious. After this social media post started making rounds across the internet, Dr. Mahtani decided to put an end to it with a press release clarifying the rumours.
In this press release, Dr. Rajan Mahtani clarified that though he had a long-standing relationship with the late ex-President of Zambia, this friendship was transparent and known to everyone. Furthermore, Dr. Mahtani also clarified that he never made such claims or requests regarding taking over the farmland. Furthermore, it was also found that Miriam Mwanawasa did not have any proof or evidence to support her claims. As such, these social media claims were considered to be baseless, ludicrous and malicious with the intent of ruining the reputation of an honest and ethical businessman. Dr. Rajan Mahtani also said that he will be taking stringent actions against this unethical post.
